Bei miniaturisierten Satelliten sind die Schubanforderungen oft mit niedrigen Treibstoff-Massenstromwerten und verh ltnism ig kleinen geometrischen charakteristischen L ngen verbunden. Dies kann zu verd nnten Gaszust nden innerhalb der Triebwerksd sen f hren. Wegen der hohen Komplexit t der Plasmaph nomene innerhalb elektrischer Triebwerke sowie der typischerweise hohen Rechenanforderungen, die mit der Plasmamodellierung einhergehen, werden elektrische Antriebssysteme oft auf Basis empirischer Modelle und experimenteller Daten entwickelt.
