The Venerable (Prof.) Sydney C. Ugwunna, M.A., M.Div., Ph.D., is a scientist with degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan Univ., University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Wayne State Univ., in Detroit, Michigan, and Virginia Episcopal Theological Seminary. He had served as a science professor in universities both in Nigeria and the U.S.A. He is also an Anglican priest in Church of England, and has written more than ten books in both science and theology.

MCU Captain Rudy Beauregard and his detectives find it questionable when good men die from accidents on the side of roads. Beauregard does not believe in coincidence stating often that despite their plausibility, coincidence in criminal justice cases must always be followed with investigation; whether that investigation is authorized. Off they go, his detectives, looking for bits of information from which to map what is going on. They notice commonalities about the victims and the knowledge confounds them.
