CLIFF BOOTH - Rick's stunt double, and the most infamous man on any movie set because he's the only one there who might have gotten away with murder. . . .
SHARON TATE - She left Texas to chase a movie-star dream, and found it. Sharon's salad days are now spent on Cielo Drive, high in the Hollywood Hills.
CHARLES MANSON - The ex-con's got a bunch of zonked-out hippies thinking he's their spiritual leader, but he'd trade it all to be a rock 'n' roll star.

Описание: Academy Award-winning screenwriter Quentin Tarantino returns with his most infamous, most brilliant, most masterful screenplay yet... At the end of the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. Bounty hunter John Ruth and his fugitive captive Daisy Domergue race toward the town of Red Rock, where Ruth will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter Major Marquis Warren, a former Union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter; and Chris Mannix, a renegade who claims to be the town's new sheriff. Lost in a blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren, and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie's Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover. When they arrive, they are greeted by four unfamiliar faces: Bob, who takes care of Minnie's in the owner's absence; Oswaldo Mobray, the hangman of Red Rock; cow-puncher Joe Gage; and Confederate general Sanford Smithers. As the storm overtakes the mountainside, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all ... THE HATEFUL EIGHT is a Tarantino master class in tension-filled atmosphere, singular characters, and razor-sharp dialogue.

Описание: Celebrate more than three decades of filmmaking by diving into the brilliant, twisted mind of Quentin Tarantino, and discover the artistic process of an Oscar-winning legend. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1963, Quentin Tarantino spent many Saturday evenings during his childhood accompanying his mother to the movies, nourishing a love of film that was, over the course of his life, to become all-consuming. The script for his first movie took him four years to complete: My Best Friend's Birthday (1987), a seventy-minute film in which he both acted and directed. The script for his second film, Reservoir Dogs (1992), took him just under four weeks to complete. When it debuted, he was immediately hailed as one of the most exciting new directors in the industry. Known for his highly cinematic visual style, out-of-sequence storytelling, and grandiose violence, Tarantino's films have provoked both praise and criticism over the course of his career. They've also won him a host of awards--including Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTA awards--usually for his original screenplays. His oeuvre includes the cult classic Pulp Fiction, bloody revenge saga Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and historical epics Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time...In Hollywood. Featuring an all-new chapter on the director's latest award-winning film Once Upon a Time...In Hollywood, this stunning retrospective catalogs each of Quentin Tarantino's movies in fascinating detail. Virtuosic stories by one of "the more interesting and ambitious prose stylists of our time" (Los Angeles Times)
In this madcap, insatiably inventive, bravura story collection, Juli n Herbert brings to vivid life people who struggle to retain a measure of sanity in an insane world. Here we become acquainted with a vengeful "personal memories coach" who tries to get even with his delinquent clients; a former journalist with a cocaine habit who travels through northern Mexico impersonating a famous author of Westerns; the ghost of Juan Rulfo; a man who discovers music in his teeth; and, in the deliriously pulpy title story, a drug lord who looks just like Quentin Tarantino, who kidnaps a mopey film critic to discuss Tarantino's films while he sends his goons to find and kill the doppelg nger that has colonized his consciousness. Herbert's astute observations about human nature in extremis feel like the reader's own revelations. The antic and often dire stories in Bring Me the Head of Quentin Tarantino depict the violence and corruption that plague Mexico today, but they are also deeply ruminative and layered explorations of the narrative impulse and the ethics of art making. Herbert asks: Where are the lines between fiction, memory, and reality? What is the relationship between power, corruption, and survival? How much violence can a person (and a country) take? The stories in this explosive collection showcase the fevered imagination of a significant contemporary writer.
Joe Tarantino describes the fifth and final leg of his 3,600-mile bicycle ride across the North American continent started thirty-one years earlier. Previous trips had left him with nearly 1,700 miles remainingfrom the Pacific coast to his prior stopping point in Winner, South Dakota, just east of the Badlands. After what began as a to-do on his bucket list, Joe eventually realized the final segment of his trip had become something God now wanted him to do. Riding by himself, Joe began his trip in Seaside, Oregon. He crossed the Columbia River over the Astoria-Megler Bridge into the state of Washington and was promptly greeted with record-high temperatures while crossing the Cascade Mountain range and eastern Washington deserts. Along the way, Joe encountered folks from all walks of life and demographics who provided support and encouragement at the times he needed it most. His wife, Barbara, eventually met him in Harrison, Idaho, driving a rented SUV, providing additional support and sharing in his daily adventures. In addition to the record heat, mountain ranges, and deserts, they also endured a 5.8-magnitude earthquake while staying in a one-hundred-year-old log cabin hotel in a remote area of Montana, the epicenter occurring only a few miles from where they had spent the night. Joe describes how God answered daily prayers for protection and provided new insights into Psalm 23 through the people and circumstances he encountered each day. Joes description of his trip will help you understand not only the physical challenges of such a journey but deep insight into his mind during the daily rides. In addition to entertaining you, this book will challenge, motivate, and inspire you to maybe accomplish something you thought impossible while encouraging you to reevaluate your own relationship with the Creator.
