Why do heterosexuals need to be healed?
Why is there a 50% divorce rate? Why does research indicate that 33 to 73 percent of men and 26 to 70 percent of women are sexually unfaithful in marriage?
Why are men and women getting hooked on porn, spending $4,000 a second?
Why are more and more men being exposed for sexually abusing children, adolescents, and/or adults?
Why does the USA, with 5% of the world's population, consume 80% of the world's opioids?
Porn, affairs, and addictions are illegitimate attempts to meet legitimate needs for love.
Are you looking for love? Longing to be held? Perhaps settling for sex instead? If you want to experience greater love in your life, Healing Heterosexuality: Time, Touch, and Talk (TTT) will provide you with the keys to fulfill your heart's desire. TTT has solutions that will change your life for good
Each of us needs to belong - family, friends, faith, work, and community. If you did not connect or securely attach with your primary caregivers in childhood, you may need more touch as an adolescent or adult. Perhaps you have used sex to fulfill those primal needs for connection. The problem is that sex never fulfills the basic need because it is that of a child, not an adolescent or adult. In fact, sex obstructs the very thing that you may be looking for - bonding, belonging, and just to be loved for who you are, not what you do, or how you look. All unwanted behaviors are driven by Unhealed Wounds and Unmet Love Needs.
TTT will teach you how to heal your heart and create more loving, intimate relationships.
TIME: Life-changing skills for your personal healing, family healing, and community healing.
TOUCH: Essential exercises for healthy touch to transform your life and the lives of your loved ones.
TALK: Communication skills to foster greater intimacy in your personal and professional relationships.

Описание: Drawing on hundreds of interviews with 15-22 year old straight and gay male athletes in both the United States and the United Kingdom, this book explores how jocks have redefined heterosexuality, and no longer fear being thought gay for behaviors that constrained men of the previous generation.
Innocence, Heterosexuality, and the Queerness of Children's Literature examines distinguished classics of children's literature both old and new--including L. Frank Baum's Oz books, Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series, J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series--to explore the queer tensions between innocence and heterosexuality within their pages. Pugh argues that children cannot retain their innocence of sexuality while learning about normative heterosexuality, yet this inherent paradox runs throughout many classic narratives of literature for young readers. Children's literature typically endorses heterosexuality through its invisible presence as the de facto sexual identity of countless protagonists and their families, yet heterosexuality's ubiquity is counterbalanced by its occlusion when authors shield their readers from forthright considerations of one of humanity's most basic and primal instincts.
The book demonstrates that tensions between innocence and sexuality render much of children's literature queer, especially when these texts disavow sexuality through celebrations of innocence. In this original study, Pugh develops interpretations of sexuality that few critics have yet ventured, paving the way for future scholarly engagement with larger questions about the ideological role of children's literature and representations of children's sexuality.
Tison Pugh is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Central Florida. He is the author of Queering Medieval Genres and Sexuality and Its Queer Discontents in Middle English Literature and has published on children's literature in such journals as Children's Literature, The Lion and the Unicorn, and Marvels and Tales.

Описание: What’s the right way to be a feminist? Reconsidering Radical Feminism is not only a clear, precise summary of late-twentieth-century feminist debates about the politics of heterosexuality. It’s also an examination of how we become invested in arguments that position us as particular kinds of feminists – and as gendered subjects. Through the lens of poststructuralism, queer theory, and affect theory, Jessica Joy Cameron investigates the legacy of the passionate dispute between radical feminism and sex-positive feminism. In doing so, she reveals the timeliness of her subject as contemporary policies about sexual assault, consent, and safe spaces come under scrutiny.

Описание: This book explores heterosexualities in their complex and everyday expressions. It engages with theories about the intersection of sexuality with other markers of difference, and gender in particular. The outcome will productively upset equations of heterosexuality with heteronormativity and accounts that cast heterosexuality in "sex critical, sex as danger" terms. Queer/feminist ‘pro-sex’ perspectives have become prevalent in analyses of sexuality, but in these approaches queer becomes the site of subversive, transgressive, exciting and pleasurable sex, while heterosex, if mentioned at all, continues to be seen as objectionable or dowdy. It challenges heterosexuality’s comparative absence in gender/sexuality debates and the common constitution of heterosexuality as nasty, boring and normative. The authors develop an innovative analysis showing the limits of the sharply bifurcated perspectives of the "sex wars". This is not a revisionist account of heterosexuality as merely one option in a fluid smorgasbord, nor does it dismiss the weight of feminist/pro-feminist critiques of heterosexuality. This book establishes that if relations of domination do not constitute the analytical sum of heterosexuality, then identifying its range of potentialities is clearly important for understanding and helping to undo its "nastier" elements.
