The Ghost of Sakura is an ancient Japanese ghost story revolving around the fate of a good natured tenant at the hands of a greedy and immoral landowner. It also involves the karmic expectation that justice is often meted out even from beyond the grave.Japan is one of the most haunted places on Earth. In Japanese folk belief, Japan as an island is infused with supernatural powers. The very soil of the land is charged with potential, magical energy. Human beings share in this energy. Inside each human being is a reikon, a being of profound power that is unleashed on death. The Japanese fear ghosts- called yurei in Japanese- but they also honor them. And for as far back as the written word goes in Japan, they tell stories about them.
Japanese stories featuring ghosts are firmly rooted in the belief in the spirit world. Ghosts arise when someone dies and their spirit cannot move on to the afterlife, either because the funeral rites weren't completed or because the person died violently or with unfinished business. This is a rather long story, so give yourself enough time to enjoy it♥

Nigerian folktales are epic stories that can explain the world around us
These stories and myths have been told within generations. Nigerian folklore include proverbs, myths, "just so" stories, and riddles. "Just so" stories are designed to explain features of an animal, such as their appearance or their habits. Morals are either explicitly stated at the end of Nigerian folktales, or hidden within the text. Animals, especially the tortoise, hold prominence in the tales from Nigeria, and unlike other folk tales from Africa, there aren't many "trickster" figures like Anasi.
Reading some of the stories from Nigeria, you may note that the stories bear similarity to some European folk tales, filled with poor peasant girls, royalty, and magical properties; however, many of the folk tales bear a magic that is all their own, with grand narratives readers have loved for years.
The collection of Folktales from Nigeria consists of one book with 40 folktales collected from Southern Nigeria. The stories are full of mentions of strange institutions, as well as of rare adventures.
