After totaling a clients classic Camaro, and the reputation shes worked to build, Macy LaPorte will do anything for the chance to photograph cars again. Even take a job she knows nothing about, thousands of miles from home.
From the first day its a disaster. Jeans and concert t-shirts, which make up her entire wardrobe, are too informal for the business atmosphere of Dawsons Auctions. Her boss doesnt trust her to drive the cars shes going to photograph. She has nothing in common with the other women at the office, no friends to turn to. Then theres the bosss son, Talan Dawson.
Macy and Talan are often forced into working together, an arrangement that Macy is finding very uncomfortable. The first time they met was electric. Since then, though, she never knows if hes going to bring her coffee just the way she likes it, or snap at her for asking him to move the car theyre photographing.
