Voices from the Ruins examines the biblical texts "explicitly and directly contextualized by those catastrophic events"--Kings, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Lamentations, and selected Psalms--to trace the rich, diverse, and often-polemicized discourse over theodicy unfolding therein.
