Описание: Sunflower is a short duration crop and can be fitted well in the present cropping system of Sudan without bearing any major change in agriculture setup. The planting pattern plays a key role in increasing the yield of sunflowers. Flowering is the most critical stage to water stress caused by deficit irrigation. For this reason, limited irrigation in early and mid flowering stages needs to be avoided, while deficit irrigation at seed formation can be acceptable whenever irrigation water is limited.
