Measures are given to help African-Americans determine where they stand in regards to being self-reliant and self-determinant from the oppressing class. The most affected on a continuum is commonly described as a "house Negro or slave." The least affected and dependent is described as a "field Negro or black." The "house slave" is subservient to his master or their descendants while the "field slave" is more than less his or her own master. The book examined how this dichotomy developed over the last 300 or more years of African slavery and dehumanization. It explains how this nation's wealth was generated by this crime against humanity.
