This volume is the product of several years of writing in different media which were all born out of immense emotional ferment. Have no doubt that often times, the greatest light can emerge from the deepest darkness and that light would not have existed had things not gotten so extremely dark. Though, my childhood, my adolescence and my young adulthood were filled with pain, despair and madness, I would never trade them away. Through more than ten years in the abyss I have found and created an unshakeable purpose in life and a joy I never thought possible. Now I choose to do as my heroes did: to be a great light despite great darkness.
