Whatever you want to call it, every group of friends has one. Unless youre the mean girls, then fat and friend dont belong in the same sentence. Ive been that friend my whole life. Tall and chubby as a child morphed into tall and extra curvy as an adult. My weight has fluctuated up and down throughout the years, but one thing never changes: Ive always been the fat one in the group. The token curvy girl who cant share clothes with everyone else and doesnt even enjoy shopping trips because I need specialty stores to find my size. Thats me. And I have a confession to make--actually, several of them. All the thoughts and feelings Ive had about being the fat friend for the past 30 years. All the things Ive never told anyone before. All the things I wish people knew about life as the biggest friend in every group but have been too afraid to tell anyone before now. Some of them might make you laugh or cry or think Im crazy. Some of them are funny, some of them are painful, but all of them are full of truth and real-life experiences.
