At first sight the discovery of Tara Frodshams body appears to be a crime committed in the heat of the moment. However it soon becomes obvious to Chief Inspector Bob Bartram and his Sergeant June Ellis that there are a number of influential people who have motives for killing Tara. In the course of investigations other crimes come to light which have to be dealt with before Taras murderer can be revealed.
