German-born photographer J rgen Nefzger (born 1968) documents a small French commune in Bure, where opponents of nuclear power have been campaigning for decades against the construction of a permanent disposal site for nuclear waste. The book includes Thoreaus famous Civil Disobedience essay, which influenced the project.
