These stories are based on rich Serbian tradition and retold for a modern reader, but dedicated to all children and anyone who has not read them. They are dressed in ancient settings but communicate ideas of good and evil, hope and despair, courage and humor. Stories are imaginative with deep belief in mystical beings, heroic in nature, and optimistic in the spirit of human beings to endure and overcome daily struggles.
Anica Letic was born and educated in Serbia. When she came to Canada she taught in public and private schools as well as promoted the Serbian language and history in the community. She has published two books: Forgotten - about growing up in the communist country after the WWII and When I Grow Up - a motivational book for young girls.
