For nearly two millennia Jewish and Christian scholars have attempted to grasp the true meaning of the seventy weeks prophecy outlined in the biblical book of Daniel (Dan. 9:24-27). But there is no harmony of the four prophetic verses in any of these interpretations, all of which are based on the notion that a week is equivalent to seven years, making the timeline 490 years.
