In tracing back the ancestry of these brothers we have depended partly upon the Van Deusen Family by Capt. Albert H. Van Deu sen for the connection between the immigrant ancestor Abraham and Johannes (5) Van Deusen; for the latters data, the copy of his old family Bible record and thefohn J. Van Deusen descendants we are indebted to Mrs. I. N. Powell of Chicago, III. For the record of the Cornelius Van Deusen branches, we wish to eitpress our thanks to Mrs. Powell, Mrs. F. R.
