For the rest of my life I would be forced to live on both sides of a coin. Dealing with my Crohns and a surgical procedure called an ileostomy. No, this was not how Id planned my life. In years to come, Id learn that as bad as Id thought thought this was, it was merely the beginning. In 2002, the unspeakable happened. My worst nightmare reared its ugly head and I was its intended victim.
