1963
Part one portrays eleven year old Dash, living in Launceston with a mother whos never loved him. His step-father is having an affair and, sick and tired of his hard to please wife, is on the verge of leaving her.
Part two depicts eleven year old Evies life before its transformed by tragedy. Her disillusioned mother then relocates her family from the seaside town of Portarlington, to a new life in the city.
1995
Part three sees Dash secure work as a crane operator in Geelong. Divorced, with a daughter hes rarely seen, his contagious humour is put to the test after hearing news of his real dad.
Evie, also divorced, loves working as a feng shui consultant. Her world is rocked though, when the truth behind a terrible childhood event is disclosed, stunning her whole family.
