He has previously published two anthologies, the poet from hell and Strength, labour and sorrow, as well as Three of a kind, covering aspects of military aviation history.In 2007 in semi-retirement he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Southern Queensland and this year (2016) is studying for a Masters in Professional Practice (Creative Writing) at University of the Sunshine Coast. He served in the Vietnam War with 5 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment as a reinforcement in 1966-67. He subsequently worked as a journalist and in government and corporate communications. He has two sons, five grandchildren and partner Caroline - all inspiring.
