The Author
Giacomo Wannanes was born into a family of antique dealers and artisans. When he had finished his classical studies, he went to Paris where he lived from 1956 to 1969 alternating with long stays in London and New York to improve his artistic knowledge. When he returned to Italy in 1969, he opened an antique gallery in Milan. He specializes in Italian and French furniture, Italian and French bronzes, European and Oriental porcelains, silver and paintings of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. His activities are in the realm of the international art market.
